About Lance

I understand that reaching out for help is difficult, but it is a necessary first step for those seeking relief and wanting real change. My process focuses on comfortably connecting with people from various backgrounds and acuities in a confidential, empathetic, therapeutic setting. Our work will focus on balancing immediate symptom reduction with long-term growth and change. You can expect an honest exploration of family systems, attachment, trauma, and individual narratives which can sometimes interfere with our ability to thrive. My passion for helping others is rooted in my own journey and belief that emotional healing can occur in each of us individually, as well as in our relationships and families.

I am a husband, father, surfer, swimmer, and hiker. I grew up in Huntington Beach, CA, and lived in Bend, OR before relocating to the Conejo Valley in 2010. Before obtaining my licensure as a marriage and family therapist, I worked in investments and real estate.

My Approach

If you are looking to become a better, happier, and healthier person and would like to gain a deeper understanding and love for yourself and others, I can help you.

Psychotherapy can improve the quality of your life and/or manage more serious issues such as depression, anxiety, and grief. The process focuses on comfortably connecting with you in a confidential and empathetic, therapeutic setting. Our work will focus on balancing immediate symptom reduction with long-term growth and change. You can expect an honest exploration of family systems, attachment, and trauma, which can sometimes interfere with our ability to thrive.

I will be there beside you on your journey. The goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. My practice often includes work in the following areas: trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and stress relief for individuals, couples, families, and adolescents.

My focus is helping people heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. We can achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing an individual treatment plan.

What to expect

Psychotherapy is most effective when there is commitment, openness, and collaboration. While progress varies, many clients notice improvements within a few sessions and significant changes over time. I typically schedule a 15-minute introduction call or video chat to establish if we are a good fit for one another and then proceed from there.
